Beginners
Come and explore dance movements that originate with the Middle Eastern/North African folks dances as well as popular movements associated with today’s modern Bellydancing. In this class you will have an introduction to the basic 6 Arabic rhythms and learn how to isolate different parts of your body as you shimmy, maya, hip lift and drop to the beats. This low impact class is designed for all body types, genders and all levels of dance experience (including none). Come shimmy with us!
Bellydance 2 & 3
Intermediate / Advanced
Come and explore more complex rhythms and movements from the Middle East and North Africa. We will be layering isolations, shimmies, and exploring exciting ways to articulate the subtleties in the music/rhythmn with all the tools of your lovely body instrument! This low impact but high paced class is designed for all body types and prior bellydance training is required.
